When Not to Use a Data Base

At the time period of  this article, Data base technology was too complicated and expensive a tool to use for all business applications.

From the article: “The data base approach is relevant and essential to data processing development during the remainder of the ’70s and through the ’80s. Wise organizations will use the checklist in this article to see if the time is right for them to move to DBMS, An intelligent approach is to move slowly but surely into the data base environment. Careful consideration and analysis of the relative advantages and disadvantages of the data base approach is needed before hopping onto the data base bandwagon.”
